The Pitt Community College VISIONS program welcomed more than 90 rising high school seniors to Summer Institute this month.

The program was an opportunity for VISIONS’ newest members to learn more about themselves, the educational options PCC offers, and to experience a little bit of college life. In addition to making stops on campus for a firsthand look at programs, the students toured Greenville’s Grady-White Boats, whose owner, Eddie Smith, is the VISIONS program’s benefactor.

Established in 2004, VISIONS is a unique mentoring program that’s helped more than 1,000 Pitt County high school students graduate and move into higher education and/or the workplace.
