The Pitt Community College Foundation’s 22nd Annual Down East Holiday Show will take place Nov. 2-5 at the Greenville Convention Center.
It is the organization’s largest annual fundraiser, having generated more than $1.6 million for student scholarships and educational activities at Pitt since the first show in 2002. That total includes the $144,000 the Foundation raised through the 2022 show.
“The Down East Holiday Show is a unique shopping experience and the perfect opportunity to find gifts for friends and loved ones and purchase items for the upcoming holiday season,” said PCC Special Events Coordinator Jennifer Vogt. “This year’s show will feature more than 180 vendors, including 30 who are new, so I’m confident there will be something of interest for everyone. I encourage people planning to attend this year’s event to shop early for the best selection of holiday gifts, including clothing, accessories, jewelry, home décor, crafts, wine, food, and more.”
Vogt says the show kicks off with an adult only shopping night (no children, strollers, wagons or carts) that runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets for the special Thursday night event are $15.
Friday’s show hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Vogt said., and Saturday’s show opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 6 p.m. Doors will be open Sunday, from 10 a.m. 4 p.m. Tickets for each of those three days are $10 per person. Children 10 and under will be admitted at no charge, if they are accompanied by a paying adult.
Tickets may be purchased online or at the door.
Santa Claus will visit this year’s Holiday Show Friday (4 p.m. to 6 p.m.), Saturday (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.) and Sunday (2 p.m. to 4 p.m.). Parents are encouraged to bring their children to see Old Saint Nick and have a camera handy to commemorate the visit.
