WINTERVILLE—An eastern North Carolina holiday tradition returns Nov. 6-9, when the Pitt Community College Foundation holds its 24th Annual Down East Holiday Show.
The show will bring 185 small businesses, including 25 new vendors, to the Greenville Convention Center, where they’ll be selling everything from holiday decorations and handcrafted gift items to various services and mouth-watering foods. It’s a chance for shoppers to find the perfect gifts for their loved ones while supporting higher education.
“Since 2002, the Holiday Show has been helping our community kick off the holiday shopping season in style,” said PCC Special Events Coordinator Jennifer Hemink. “It’s raised nearly $2 million for PCC Foundation student scholarships and PCC educational activities while benefitting local small businesses as well.”
The PCC Foundation’s largest annual fundraiser kicks off Nov. 6 with an adults-only night of shopping sponsored by Harvey Wooten. From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., guests ages 18 and up can enjoy an exclusive evening of shopping without the kids. Admission is $15.
The show continues Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $10 per day, and children 10 and under get in free with a paying adult. Tickets are available at the door or online at Ticketbud.
Santa Claus will make appearances throughout the weekend at the following times:
- Friday: 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Sunday: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Outside the convention center, guests can enjoy food trucks, including Anita’s Mexican Street Food Truck, Tucci’s Fired Up!, and Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck. Several vendors inside will also be selling food items.
PCC Student Ambassadors will once again raise scholarship funding by selling drinks and snacks, as well as tickets for a chance to win gift baskets filled with items donated by community supporters.
