WINTERVILLE—Pitt Community College Student Ambassadors are once again putting service and leadership into action through their annual fundraiser benefiting the Student Ambassador Scholarship Fund.
Student Ambassadors established the scholarship with the PCC Foundation in 2015. It is awarded annually to an outstanding PCC student leader with financial need.
Now through October 27, Ambassadors are reaching out to local businesses, individuals, alumni, and friends of PCC for donations of items and gift cards to create gift baskets. During the Down East Holiday Show at the Greenville Convention Center Nov. 5-8, ambassadors will sell tickets for the baskets, along with water and concessions, with a goal of raising more than $1,500. Every dollar raised goes directly to their scholarship fund.
“If a Student Ambassador reaches out, please consider supporting their efforts with a raffle item or gift card donation,” said Heather Fisher, PCC Foundation administrative assistant. “And if you’re attending the Down East Holiday Show, be sure to stop by the PCC Student Ambassador table, say hello, and purchase a few raffle tickets. It’s a great way to support these student leaders as they work to help a future PCC student through a scholarship of their own.”
